Why it matters
VCA includes plain pasta or rice among possible small treats or toppers, but cats require a complete meat-based diet and extra starch can unbalance it.
How to serve it
Use no sauce, salt, butter, cheese, onion or garlic. Keep it rare and within the treat allowance, and skip it for a prescribed diet unless your vet agrees.
