Information entered into the calculator

Pet names, food choices, portions and prices are processed in the browser to produce the displayed calculations. PetPence does not transmit those entries to its reminder database unless the user deliberately creates an email reminder. In that case, only the reminder details described below are sent.

Device storage

Selecting Save uses browser local storage on that device. This may include the pet name, selected foods, entered prices, retailer entries and, when used, the private email reminder-management token. The information remains until it is replaced or the user clears the browser’s site data. PetPence cannot use local storage from another device.

Email reorder reminders

Email reminders are offered only when PetPence has a working delivery service connected. When a user deliberately creates one, PetPence stores the email address, pet name, selected food, food type, retailer, expected run-out date and reminder timing. A random private token connects the message to the saved reorder page. PetPence does not request or store a phone number.

The email address is used only to deliver the requested reorder reminder and is not added to a marketing list. A delivered or expired reminder is retained for up to 90 days so it can be managed or rescheduled, then removed. Active reminders remain until delivery or until the user removes them. Selecting Remove reminder deletes that reminder record.

Calendar reminders

Add to calendar creates a calendar file in the browser using the feeding and reminder details displayed on screen. PetPence does not send that file to a PetPence database. The user chooses whether to add it to their own calendar application.

Cookies and analytics

PetPence does not currently install its own advertising or analytics cookies. Essential technical information may still be processed by the hosting service to deliver, secure and diagnose the website. If non-essential analytics or affiliate tracking technology is later introduced on PetPence itself, this notice and the consent controls will be updated before that technology is activated.

External websites

Veterinary sources, retailer searches and the emergency-vet search open third-party websites. A postcode entered into the vet finder is not saved by PetPence; it is included in the Google Maps search only after the user selects Search now. Those organisations apply their own privacy, cookie and purchasing policies.

Contact and privacy requests

PetPence does not currently offer accounts or a public contact form. A dedicated privacy contact will be published before public email reminder collection is switched on. Until then, email entry remains disabled and calendar reminders do not send information to PetPence.
