Can dogs eat peanut butter?
Only after checking the label — it must be xylitol-free.

Why it matters
Some peanut and nut butters contain xylitol, which can cause a rapid, life-threatening fall in a dog's blood sugar. Peanut butter is also high in fat and calories.
How to serve it
Read the ingredients every time; xylitol may also be called birch sugar or wood sugar. If any is present or uncertain, do not feed it.
